Education

With 24 years of polar and wilderness travel, Geoff gives an insight to these fragile and fascinating areas and, with first hand experience in spectacular expeditions, relates the geographical and historical significance of these most inaccessible parts of the globe. Geoff has several slide presentations for educational groups of all ages dealing with both the environment and living and achieving ones dreams. (See subjects below)

1. The 1990 International Trans Antarctica Expedition. 4000 miles with an international team of six men with three teams of 12 husky dogs…the most daring and prolonged polar expedition of modern times.

2. A Camel Odyssey. With one companion and, three camels trained
from the wild, traversing the Gibson and Great Sandy deserts of the
Australian Outback.

3. Polar Journeys. The polar traveler today. How we have progressed
from the "heroic" journeys of a hundred years ago to modern lightning
traverses of the ice using kites, snow vehicles or even balloons.

4. The Tropical Rain Forest. Personal experiences in the Malaysian forests
including a commiting and dangerous traverse of North Borneo.

Motivation / Leadership
Many comparisons can be drawn between a successful prolonged and committed expedition and the effective management of a business.

Risk Assessment and Management
In industry, whether in a physically uncertain environment or simply
in an office situation, mishaps can occur from the most unlikely of sources.
